Prostate Cancer Screenign (multi-center trial)

1. Correlation of voided urine specimen gene analysis to prostate biopsy

   Open to men scheduled to have a prostate biopsy due to an abnormal PSA or exam

Prostate Cancer Treatment (3 multi-center trials)

1. Lupron 6 month depot evaluation

   Open to men initiating hormonal treatment of Prostate Cancer

2. Advanced hormonal manipulation of Prostate Cancer

   Open to men with rising PSA's on initial hormonal manipulation (i.e. Eligard, Lupron, Zoladex, Vantas, Viadur, Trelstar)

3. Investigational surgical procedure using high frequency ultrasound (HIFU) to treat prostate cancer (enrollment is on hold)

Additionally, Southeast Urology Network is participating in several ongoing trials involving pre-cancerous conditions of the prostate (PIN disease) and studies of medications used to slow the progression of prostate cancer. These studies are in progress and enrollment is complete.
